I have a question to all of you. As I'm looking at the lesson for Monday and I"m fascinated by the fact that the Lord uses the Tree of Life vision, for both Nephi and Lehi, to teach them about the history of their seed and the history of the 'promised land.'
How does the vision of the tree of life, follow the iron rod and don't let go, evolve into a history of the church, the fate of Joseph's seed, and the promised land?\
Email me at Khinckley1@yahoo.com if you come up with some ideas...

Posting Lessons
I've had a request to post the powerpoint lessons before Monday morning. The idea is that those who wanted to could print off the lesson and write down impressions during the lesson, right next to the slide.
This is very doable. Normally, you would just need to send the powerpoint to Microsoft Word and it will print off all the slides with lines next to it for comments.
Lets give it a try!

Tender Mercies
One of the most noticable tender mercies I notice in me is the feeling the spirit. Knowing what I feel, knowing where it came from and knowing what I'm now supposed to do all remind me that He knows--me.
That knowing makes the trials easier. He hasn't forgotten me, and knows what I'm struggling with.
Talk about an iron rod!

Question to consider for Monday
Question. We're going to read about Nephi's struggle to kill or not kill, Laban. Nephi could have easily left this part out had he wanted to.
What message was he trying to pass on down the corridors of time by giving us all the gory details?

The Book of Mormon
Great Spirit and participation.
Question:
Why is it so difficult for some of us to believe God does great things for us, when it is all around us?
Could it be pride that says, "I know He can do that, but in MY case...."
