Question to consider for Monday

Question. We're going to read about Nephi's struggle to kill or not kill, Laban. Nephi could have easily left this part out had he wanted to.
What message was he trying to pass on down the corridors of time by giving us all the gory details?

  1. I think the following quote you have in your notes sums it up better than I could have expressed it myself.

"Whatever God requires is right, no matter what it is, although we may not see the reason thereof till long after the events transpire” (Joseph Smith, TPJS, p. 256)

Nephi obviously didn't know how the events would unfold due to his choice, but he must have known this event in his life was very important. Important enough of a lesson for him, and for anyone else who reads his words.
